PRESS RELEASE

The next Fair Trade Fair and Farmers Market is on Saturday December 11th at the Friend's Meeting House, Ship Street, Brighton from 11 am - 4 pm.

Foodies will be glad to know that there continues to be new tastes to savour. There will be the usual great range of yummy veg, artisan bread, chutneys, honey, jams, organic cakes, olive oil, fruit and eggs.

You can buy some of the most beautiful handmade gear in town. For examples of genuine naive art, Artesania Sorata's cushion covers and wallhangings are hard to beat, selling here in Brighton and also in San Francisco.

Tibet Link have got some supplies direct from the refugee community in Dharmsala so fill your family's stockings with trinkets from the lovely smiley ones in the major mounds of the Himalayas. New in from Lucknow, northern India, are some alarmingly gorgeous hand embroidered silk scarves. Chikan craft, as it is known, is their speciality and shows exquisite skill.

Organiser, Barb Wilson of lovethatstuff feels shopping is all about people, "It's about how you want to shop really. Here you come to buy something that a person has made by hand. They may have sat, shaded from the sun, under a great tree or sat warmed by a fire somewhere in the mountains as they worked and this thing they've made will be passed from them to you. A special thing."
